MIni Essay COntest

The Mini Essay Contest, organised as part of the DrugFreeSG Video Competition, is open to all students aged between 12 and 16 who want to share their thoughts on ‘A Drug-Free Future’.

To participate, students shall write an essay of 300 – 500 words in response to any one of the two first-placed videos of the DrugFreeSG Video Competition 2023, under the “Youths” and “Young Adults” categories.

Entries are to be submitted by a teacher-in-charge on behalf of the school, and each school is limited to submitting a maximum of 5 entries. Teachers from the same school are highly encouraged to co-ordinate with one another and submit only the best 5 essays from their school.

We encourage all students to participate in this competition and take a stand against drug abuse. However, please note that the Top 3 (i.e., 1st, 2nd, and 3rd) winners of this year’s DrugFreeSG Video Competition under the “Youths” and “Young Adults” categories are not eligible to take part in the Mini Essay Contest.
