Team: Purple and Blue People

School: Evergreen Secondary School

Javier was struggling academically and in his co-curricular activities, feeling increasingly overwhelmed. When his closest friend offered support, Javier stubbornly rejected the help and turned to another acquaintance instead. This new “friend” introduced Javier to drugs as an escape from his mounting pressures. Consumed by overwhelming guilt and seeing no way out, Javier contemplated suicide. Fortunately, his loyal closest friend discovered his desperate situation and intervened just in time, saving his life.
